The attached NTL describes the inspections to OCS facilities, including pipelines, which were in the area
affected by hurricane Katrina. The NTL gives the geographic coordinates of the affected area.
The NTL describes the Level I, II, and III surveys required for platforms in accordance with API RP 2AWSD,
Section 14. All platform inspections must be completed by May 1, 2006, and all damage must be
repaired by June 1, 2006.
By October 14, 2005, you must submit a list of all your platforms in the affected area with an initial
inspection plan and a timetable.
Pipelines in the affected areas must be inspected as well, using prescribed methods, by May 1, 2006. A
repair procedure must be submitted prior to conducting any repairs. A leak test must be performed before
any pipeline is returned to service.
