JCC will be Conducting Subpart O Contractor Audits

J. Connor Consulting, Inc. (JCC) will be conducting Subpart O contractor audits
over the next few months. This is an offer to have us audit your primary
contractors and potentially enjoy a significant price break should other operators
determine to participate. Our normal price for a single Subpart O audit is $1500
plus expenses. The price will be discounted to $500 plus prorated expenses per
audit should enough operators join in. The audit procedure follows:
AUDIT PROCEDURE
- Contractor’s Subpart O Training Plan will be reviewed for consistency with your
company’s requirements and compliance with the MMS regulations.
- Specific performance claims, gathered from the contractor’s plan, will be verified.
- The contractor’s Training Manager will be interviewed.
- The Subpart O Audit Checklist will be completed.
- We will ensure that Contractor’s training includes a "hands-on" component, as
required by MMS.
- A Contractor Evaluation Form will be completed, if not previously on file.
- We will verify, by reviewing training completion records that all workers required to
have production safety training on your company properties have been
appropriately trained.
- In some cases interviews with field personnel, reviews of training curricula, and walk
throughs of simulators and classroom facilities will be performed.
- A complete written report documenting the audit findings will be prepared at the
conclusion of the audit.
Attached is a list of contractors
we will be auditing. Please review the list and
indicate which audits you wish to participate in. If you do not find a contractor on the list
please fill in the blank space provided at end of the list. We will follow up with the audit
dates and your cost.
