The Plans Assistant will provide administrative support within the Response Plans Services department.

Assist in the preparation of Oil Spill Response Plan (OSRP), Facility Response Plan (FRP) and Spill Prevention and Control Countermeasure (SPCC) documents and other required regulatory compliance documents as required for oil and gas production operations.

Edit text and assist in the translation of information into electronic format. Modify existing templates using advanced Adobe and Microsoft Word skills.

Maintain various Plans Services spreadsheets and reports.

Type, copy and fax appropriate forms, permits and other regulatory documents. Check and deliver mail and faxes for and to personnel within the Plans Services group.

Update, maintain and assist in organizing client files and other documentation requirements. Remove and re-file documents from the Plans Services offices.

Distribute client documents via Federal Express, courier, or United States Postal Service.

Perform quality control checks to ensure quality of written products, e.g., proper format, correct grammar and spelling.

PC literate with intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office; particularly MS Word and Adobe. Must be familiar with styles, formatting, and page breaks procedures and creating templates.

Minimum one (1) year Desktop Publishing experience preferred.

Ability to multi-task and to effectively interact with all levels of company personnel, utilizing strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Must possess advanced organizational skills; be detailed-oriented and self-motivated.

Must be dependable and eager to develop knowledge and skills needed for advancement.

High School diploma/GED or one (1) year of relevant experience and/or training required. Bachelor’s degree or two (2) years of related regulatory experience desired.

Experience editing and/or proofreading documents preferred.
